Dear diary, Today I went with the kids to Madonna's church, which is near the school. They taught me how to be orientated in relation to the church. Ι learnt that the sanctuary of the church is always at the East. Afterwards, we played and enjoyed ourselves. Then we returned to school. Love, WEAF Dear diary,
Today I had a wonderful time. I was in class D3. The teacher read us some pages from the book “Story of a seagull and the cat who taught her to fly”. Then, the children and I made bookmarks together, in order to send them to the school we work together in Italy. They turned out to be amazing. I wonder if the children who receive them, will like them? Love, WEAF (D'3 class) Dear diary, Getting off the clouds for a while, me and my friends from F'2 calss took a commemorative photo with our group creation: a book with our illustrations about the Luis Sepulveda book, that we liked so much! Love, WEAF (F'2 class) Dear diary, Today it was a special day. The children came to school without any bags at all. It was the Day of School Sports. They had no lesson in the classrooms. They were all wearing atheletic shoes and they stayed in the schoolyard. There they did various activities: games with wreaths, ballons, small and bigger balls, skates... I was with them all the time. I was looking at them and laughing. Then I wore my skates also, and tried to walk, but I slipped and fell. The same happened to many of us. We were amused and enjoyed the game. It was an unforgettable day for all of us! Love WEAF (C'1 class) Dear diary, It was School Sports Day today, so there were no lessons in the classroom! To make sure we had the weather as our ally, thw students and me went to the roof of our school, a step closer to the clouds. There, at the northern side, there is our meteorological station. I couldn't hold my horses, and I flew quickly up to its tallest point. Can you seee me there? Love, WEAF (F'2 class)
Dear diary,
Today I went with Mrs Dora and some pupils of our school to Researchers' Night. It was so nice. I saw and heard many interesting things. The event took place at the Palaeontological Museum of Rethymno, between bones of animals and stones. A manshowed us a video about snowfalling and rain on the island of Crete. We were given nice pencils and leaflets with activities, such as a labyrinth. They also gave us a brochure about the project and bookmarks. There was also a meteorological station, just like the one we have at school. Our school participated in the event with the project made by the students of last year's F' class "All about the weather". It was presented by Mrs Dora and some students. The students that were there held me in their hands while Mrs Dora was talking about the project, and then she presented me as the ENERGY FOR LIFE mascot. All the children were very friendly and they hugged me. At the end I left very happy, and all my new and old friends waved goodbye. Goodnight dear diary! Love, WEAF (B'3 class) Diar diary,
I learnt that autumn is one of the four seasons of the year yesterday. In autumn, schools open and the children are happy because they see their classmates again, their teacher and their new classroom.Autumn has three months: September, October and November. The leaves of the deciduous trees are not green anymore. They become orange, yellow, red, brown and they fall on the ground. The children brought me some fruit that grow in autumn. In their basket they had red apples, pears, quinces, pomegranates, grapes and fresh walnuts and raisins. I surely loved their taste! The children told me that they love mevery much and they are going to miss me when I leave to Italy next month. Love, WEAF (B'1 class) Dear diary,
Today I went with the students of F'1 class to the Science lab. We Αγαπημένο μου ημερολόγιο, Σήμερα πήγα με το Στ1 στο εργαστήριο των Φυσικών Επιστημών.We built our own dynamometer and learnt how to measure forces. Love WEAF (F'1 class) Dear diary,
Today it was the first day at school. I was hiding on the second floor of the school, and I was watching from the window. The kids were gathered in the schoolyard for the sanctification. A priest was singing and all the children were looking at him. Then he put some basil in the water and sprinkled them with holy water to enlight them. The headmaster talked to them. After that I went to B'3 classroom and slept next to Mrs Bibliophilia, a puppet lady who loves books. I waited eagerly for the new day to come, and meet the children one by one as they enter school! Love, WEAF (B'3 class) Dear diary,
Today, with the students of B'2 class and their teacher I went for a tour around the 14th Primary School of Rethymno, to familirize myself with it. We started walking around the corridors and looking at the classrooms, the canteen, the music room and the computer room. We also visited the headmaster's office and the teachers' room. We saw the schoolyard, where we can play in the intervals. Suddenly we saw a black cat that poped in front of us! Frightened he started running up and down the corridor, until he got tired and stopped at a corner. We approached him gently not to frighten him and we gave him some milk to drink from the canteen. He told us that he wasn't hungry nor thirsty, but he needed to find some food for his little friend, a seagull, that was very hungry. We told him to take the milk and some water to it. He thanked us and left to go to his little seagul. We all looked at each other excited and happy, because we helped this cat and the little seagull! Love, WEAF (B'2) Dear diary,
During the 2nd Transnational Meeiting in Greece, Mrs Adriana Lefter from Romania brought me as the biggest surprise for the pupils of the 14th Pimary School of Rethymno. Every time me and Mrs Adriana with the rest Energy4Life group of teachers entered a classroom, the children welcomed me with great happiness! Love, WEAF |
